Sibbett Gregory were initially approached to act as “Principal Designers” under the Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations, further to our client obtaining planning consent to convert and extend a Victorian HMO into 11 Apartments.

  • Further to accepting our CDM role, the Building Consultancy department were subsequently appointed to prepare a detailed Specification of Works, prepare detailed constructional drawings, obtain Building Regulation approval, and to competitively tender the project to several local contractors. A Principal Contractor was instructed, and the team were subsequently appointed to provide Contract Administration / Project Supervision services – overseeing the building works through to Practical Completion.

 

  • Sibbett Gregory were further instructed to prepare a “Material Amendment” Planning Application in order to improve upon the originally consented scheme, and prepare an application to discharge Planning Conditions. These were subsequently consented. Practical Completion was achieved in August 2016.

 

  • Following successful completion of this project, Sibbett Gregory were retained by their client to provide further Contract Administration / Employers Agent services for a range of larger residential schemes.
