Client: Betterment Properties
After many years of promoting a sustainable location for development, the Sibbett Gregory Town Planning department achieved planning consent for 500 new homes at Curtis Fields in Weymouth.
- The allocation included provision for a 4,000 sq ft A1 retail unit fronting Chickerall Road. The Retail & Leisure department were subsequently instructed to secure a pre-let with a national convenience store operator.
- A targeted marketing campaign resulted in interest from a number of operators and competitive terms were subsequently negotiated with The Southern Co-Operative Group.
- Working closely with both the architect (Western Design) and the operator, a detailed pre-let agreement and specification was subsequently agreed.
- The new store opened in September 2017.
