Ravine Court, Meridien Close, Canford Cliffs, Poole
Client: Ravine Court Management Co. Ltd.
Sibbett Gregory were appointed by the client to identify and provide budget costings for a range of suitable replacement flat roof re-covering options on a residential block of apartments. Sibbett Gregory were then appointed to tender the works, undertake Contract Administration (JCT Minor Works 2016 Contract) and Principal Designer duties, and supervise the works through to completion.
- A liquid based PMMA system (Wecryl) by Westwood Liquid Technologies Ltd. (Poole) was subsequently selected by the client. The project was then competitively tendered to 3 local Westwood approved Roofing Contractors, with the Contract being awarded to Eclipse Roofing and Waterproofing Ltd. of Poole.
- Site set-up commenced February 2020. Due to time of year, the height and exposed seafront location of the building, the client opted for a full scaffold with “top hat” temporary roof protection to protect the building during the course of the works.
- The COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent lockdown interrupted works progress, but works were successfully completed September 2020.
