Unit 13, Newtown Business Park

Client: Standard Life Investments

Sibbett Gregory Energy Performance were retained to carry out a study to establish the suitability of this Unit to meet the current and potential future Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard (MEES).

  • We established the current rating and presented a range of cost effective recommendations to improve the rating.
  • Four major areas were targeted and the cumulative effect of the improvements moved the EPC rating up by 41 points in to the D band thus future proofing for the anticipated change to the MEES standard in 2025.
  • This project was carried out in conjunction with the Sibbett Gregory Building Consultancy team who ultimately supervised the upgrading works when the recommendations were implemented.
  • These improvements helped in successfully letting the unit.
