Exciting New Occupiers Join Line Up Of Independent Businesses At Kingland

31st March 2023

Sibbett Gregory, acting on behalf of Legal and General Investment Management (LGIM) have assisted in bringing in a number of new retail occupiers into KINGLAND, the dynamic high street neighbouring The Dolphin in Poole. New occupiers Brakeburn, Boiler Room Records, Jay & Co and Titanium Flower join the existing occupiers Grounded Coffee, Wild Roots, Greenslade Fish, and Restored Retro, who have all recently renewed their leases.

Dorset-based clothing brand, Brakeburn, have opened their first store, stocking new season women and men’s clothing ranges in time for spring. Brakeburn has previously only been stocked online and in local boutique stores.

Boiler Room Records opened their first store in Poole’s Old Town in 2020 and have now opened their second shop, selling new vinyl and popular merchandise. Mark Northey, owner of Boiler Room Records, said: “Boiler Room Records is really excited to be joining some of the very best independent traders that Poole has to offer. Our second store in Poole will differ slightly from the Old Town branch by concentrating on new vinyl, merch, and Hi-Fi, both vintage and new. Throughout summer we will also put on live music events and feature instore DJ performances. We hope to offer Poole a true Indie music experience.”

Jay & Co has opened its first brick-and-mortar store in collaboration with Restored Retro. The reclaimed, restored and reimagined furniture retailer was founded by popular television presenter, Jay Blades MBE, and has taken over the former Pen Gallery unit with the adjoining wall removed for the two businesses to co-habit a larger space together.

Titanium Flower will offer shoppers a variety of unique, handmade jewellery when it opens in April, all created by master craftsman Alan Wright. Alan will be designing and creating the jewellery on site (working with precious metals) and will also be available to take commissions.

Alastair Knott of Sibbett Gregory commented: “Since being instructed on the Dolphin Centre last year, we have been delighted to be involved with KINGLAND, an innovative and successful part of the scheme, with a curated and diverse line up of independent occupiers. There is a real buzz about KINGLAND and it’s been fantastic to see these new retailers open in our home town, alongside the existing high quality line up. We have one unit in KINGLAND currently available to let and would love to hear from any independent businesses looking for a platform in Poole town centre.”
