  • Grade II Listed Church property including two church halls
  • Total site area approx. 0.223 hectares (0.55 acres)

Description

The property comprises a single storey Grade II Listed church with two church halls at the rear, one of which is currently being used as a children’s pre-school. The property has a large external area which comprises a combination of gardens, car park and a small graveyard.

The property was constructed in 1841 as a Church with white brickwork in Flemish Bond with yellow brick arches and dressings of Portland Stone with some Stucco work under pitched slate roof with round headed feature windows with arched recesses and stone cills. The main entrance is in Tuscan porch style with brick pillars and plain stone columns supported on three steps leading to the feature entrance doors. Above the gable is a slender bell turret with square base and an octagonal panelled middle stage with clock and an octagonal upper stage recessed behind columns, the top being crowned with a slim octagonal copper covered spire.

The adjoining Joseph Notting Hall is a later 1980’s extension of traditional brick construction under a pitched tiled roof with a flat roof extension encompassing the cloakrooms and Vestry. The Dennis Bussey Hall to the rear which is currently being used as a children’s pre-school is a 1990’s extension also of fair faced brick construction
under a hipped tiled roof.

The property has a total site area of approx. 0.223 hectares (0.55 acres).
